What would be your best comedy film?

I’ve found the list of 100 greatest comedy movies. And you know what? The comedies of the 21st century are almost absent there! Why is it so? There are only 5 comedies of the 21st century in this list:

38. Borat - (2006) (Sacha Baron Cohen, Ken Davitian)

52. Meet the Parents - (2000) (Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller)

63. Little Miss Sunshine - (2006) (Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin, Steve Carell)

66. Scary Movie - (2000) (Keenen Ivory Wayans, Anna Faris, Shawn Wayans)

83. The 40 Year Old Virgin - (2005) (Steve Carell, Catherine Keener)

How do you think what is the reason of it? Have we lost the sense of humour? Or is anything left for us to laugh at?

Please, pay attention that the 1st place of this list was won by the film of 1933! Here it is: Duck Soup! (see the picture above).

Well, each decade has its humour. I do not think I would laugh at this film now.
And what would be YOUR best comedy film if you made such a list by yourself?

  1. Borat??? Gosh... This film is awful! i do not understand how could it get the 38th place....

My first place would be for "Back to the Future" (1985). It is science fiction with elements of comedy, but it is very interesting and there are a lot of funny moments there!

  3. I do not know actually...it depends upon my mood, people who watch with me, and place where to watch it

  4. Agree with John! There are some factors which can "help" you to find the best comedy for that very moment!
